The Lion, the Witch and Ophelia's Wardrobe

This blog posting is all about Miss. Ophelia's wardrobe that even I am jealous of. I decided to make this part of my blog because I have had several other mommies ask me where I purchase a lot of her clothing. Well I am going to list all my secret shops (mostly all online shops) and the stores we all know and love. Let me first say that eighty-five percent of Ophelia's wardrobe is from Baby Gap. Now I know baby gap is on the more expensive side of kid's clothing especially when in a matter of an hour babies/toddlers can destroy an outfit but they have AMAZING online sales. I receive emails telling me when the sales are happening and the promo codes to use. I order in bulk mostly when the sale hits 40-50% off entire purchase, (yes that happens) and usually that will include free shipping. Baby Gap is a go to for me for special occasions and great boho tops and tanks. Also my favorite pair of distressed, bell bottom jeans O has is from there. I do love Old Navy for sundresses and play clothes too. Now onto the stores I buy some really unique clothing for O. My first and favorite place is called Harlow Jade, this is actually an Etsy shop. Also if you do not have an etsy account stop what you are doing and sign up. Harlow Jade is handmade, hippie, boho, clothing for toddlers. I believe sizes start at 12-18 months. This shop includes beautiful kimonos, chiffon shorts with pom-poms off the hem, high waisted jean shorts, jean jackets, rompers and bell bottom pants. I recently purchased Ophelia the "Washed Up Mermaid" t-shirt from the shop (posted pics below). Prices here are more than Carters or any department store ranging from $20-$40 an item, just remember all handmade! Please check out the black and white floral romper there, it is to die for. Now this second site is shoes only because if you can afford to buy the clothing than please message me with how you make your income. This store is called Love Mummahh. They make amazing, durable, real leather sandals for babies and toddlers! The sizes here start at 0-3 months and go up to 5T-6T. The "Gypsy Sandal" is my favorite in the color tan because it goes with everything. Onto the next store, Enjoy Essentials, if you are wondering I do shop quite often for Ophelia, its borderline a problem. Enjoy Essentials makes adorable, sassy t-shirts for babies and toddlers. Ophelia has the "You Can't Sit With Us" t-shirt from here. Some of my other t-shirt favorites from the store are "My Mom Needs Caffeine," "On Wednesdays We Wear Pink," "More Issues Than Vogue," "What Would BeyoncĂ© Do?," and the newest one, "Mermaid SwimTeam." That last shirt may or may not be in my shopping cart because what girl doesn't need an endless amount of mermaid shirts? Now this store also does sell boy clothing and Mommy&Mini clothes. Prices here for t-shirts are $18.99 and adult clothing ranges from $20-30. My favorite from the Women's section is the "Livin the Wifestyle" t-shirt. Now this next site is not one that I have purchased from but came across and most likely will purchase from in the future. It is called Small Town Apparel. For the mommies who know what Freshly Picked moccasins are, these are the closest looking moccasins for a fraction of the price. I love the strawberry red moccasins and sandstorms moccasins. I will share the link below! Last store is SlyFox Threads, I have made two purchases from here, one for Ophelia and one for myself! I got Ophelia the "I'm With The Hippies" t-shirt and for myself I got "But First Coffee" t- shirt. This store has clothes for baby, toddler, kids, women and men. They also have a sale section that currently has t-shirts and hoodies for toddler and baby starting at $10. Right now too is adorable 4th of July clothing which unfortunately most likely wont ship on time but they make custom t-shirts and sweatshirts for all holidays for future reference! Loving the "Im the lil bro" onsie, "All we need is love" onsie, "I love milk" onsie and so many more but you get the point, check them out for yourselves! I posted a picture of Ophelia's t-shirt below and if you like it, it is still available for $25. Wait I forgot about CheekyCheekyBaby another Etsy spot, won't say much other than super cute t-shirts, posted pictures of some of my favorites below. Okay mommies that's it, I promise not a single one of these stores will let you down, but now I need a glass of wine realizing all the money I have spent on a toddler who prefers to be naked. Hope you all have a wonderful week with your little ones, I am now going to be scrubbing permanent marker off my white walls, yay!!
xoxo mommies

Moms or Mean Girls? Social Media Takedowns

Let me first say I was very hesitant to create this post as my first on Pampers&Pinot or at all. Though after going through Facebook I thought it was necessary to speak my mind and maybe have other moms relate. I have noticed that moms on Facebook are either there to show how "smart" their child is or to put every other mom down for the way she has decided to parent the child she went through labor with and contains that child's social security card if you know what I am getting at. It is their child, legal rights to that child, emotional connection to that child, they live with that child. Now when it comes to every mother claiming their baby is so "smart" I agree, your baby is progressing in life. Here comes my problem with it, is your child learning what every baby does learn or is your baby solving a Rubik's cube in his or her crib? If your baby is well I bow down to you, your baby is smart. Now either I have annoyed a whole lot of moms or you just understand where I'm coming from. I will be the first mother to say, my children are average. Plain and simple. They learn, they grow, each at different speeds but I would not call them smart like I would refer to someone my own age as "smart" Now let me also say I understand being a proud mom, I am one of them, but text your mom, mother-in-law, father, boyfriend, husband, best friend those accomplishments your little one has done, because that will make them smile. Secondly, am I the only mama out there sick of moms shoving down their opinions on how your baby, their baby, every baby should be raised? Lets be real, not one baby is the same, we as moms know what is best for our children and unless we ask for your opinion we do not want it. We are all good moms, let us be the moms we want to be without fear of someone telling us "it is wrong"

I promise my next blog post will be a 180 from this.. xoxo mommies!

It's Friday, bust open that box of wine!
